About The Position

As a Truck Team Member with 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, you will provide customers with an exceptional junk-removal experience while performing physical, hands-on work. You will remove, sort, recycle, donate, and properly dispose of items, while keeping job sites clean. The role also involves customer service and on-site sales, including explaining services and pricing, estimating costs, recommending additional services, and building relationships that can lead to repeat business and referrals. You will work with teammates and communicate with management to plan and complete jobs efficiently. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Requirements

Comfortable safely lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Positive attitude and commitment to outstanding customer service.
Confidence discussing pricing and identifying customer needs to promote additional services.
Strong collaboration skills for working in a small team.
At least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
Three-year clean driving record for insurance purposes.
Punctuality and reliability.

Responsibilities

Lift, carry, and load items safely and efficiently into the truck.
Sort items for recycling, donation, or proper disposal.
Clean job sites after removals.
Greet customers, explain services, and answer questions.
Recommend solutions tailored to customers’ junk-removal needs.
Identify and recommend additional services to improve customer satisfaction and increase revenue.
Provide cost estimates and explain pricing to customers.
Promote services and applicable add-ons.
Build customer rapport to secure repeat business and referrals.
Coordinate with teammates to plan, execute, and complete jobs efficiently.
Communicate with the team and management to support smooth operations.
