About The Position

The Dough Maker is responsible for mixing and loading ingredients into dough kettles according to batch sheets in a timely manner, transporting dough to production areas for use, cleaning machine parts and tools, and ensuring general housekeeping is maintained to meet GMP, quality and safety regulations. This role requires the ability to work safely, follow all safety rules, policies, and regulations, and work scheduled/assigned times and required overtime. The position involves moving up to 55 lbs and moving a wheeled cart weighing approximately 1200 lbs approximately 30 feet. Essential functions include obtaining the daily schedule and necessary tools, completing required documentation, assembling cleaned machine parts, setting machine controls, loading ingredients into dough kettles, monitoring batch processes, reviewing SAP recipes, transporting dough to the line, cleaning machine parts, tools, and utensils, and performing general housekeeping duties. The role may involve other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of GMP’s
  • Ability to be LOTO certified
  • Ability to be PIT certified
  • Ability to work with pork, chicken, beef and shellfish products in addition to many other ingredients and allergens
  • Minimum 3 months of production or related experience required

Responsibilities

  • Mixing and loading ingredients into dough kettle according to batch sheets in a timely manner
  • Transporting dough to production areas for use
  • Cleaning machine parts and tools
  • Ensuring general housekeeping is maintained to meet GMP, quality and safety regulations
  • Obtain daily schedule and tools/utensils necessary for start up
  • Complete all required documentation in English (e.g., scale verification, batch blend, time blend, SSOP, ABM belt check, centerline check, inventory tracking form)
  • Overview and assemble cleaned machine parts as required
  • Set machine controls to proper settings according to procedure
  • Load ingredients to dough kettles and monitor batch process
  • Review SAP recipes in English
  • Transport dough to the line in a timely manner
  • Clean machine parts, tools and utensils and return to 5s position
  • Perform general housekeeping duties (e.g., sweeping, mopping, etc.)
  • May perform other duties as assigned
