About The Position

Provide a broad range of technical services in support of DOT’s Information Technology (IT) portfolio, Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) and investment management processes and functions. This includes DOT-Wide IT Portfolio Management Support, Budget Formulation Support, Budget Execution Support, and Business Process Reengineering. The role involves researching government-wide and DOT IT policy, validating IT budget formulation and execution data, tracking workflow progress, developing meeting minutes, tracking actions, performing document control, and supporting the reporting of IT formulation and execution data. The analyst will be responsive and proactive in addressing client needs, responding to external (OMB) and internal data calls, assisting with regular reporting, performing analysis on IT Spend Plans and individual procurements, developing and maintaining dashboards, and preparing meeting materials. Support will also be provided for status reporting and maintenance of a repository.

Requirements

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST".
  • Candidate must be located within the United States and US Citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience.
  • Work on-site at DOT HQ in Washington DC.
  • Must be responsive and proactive in responding to client needs.
  • Understanding of how to prioritize tasks.
  • Have background in financial management with the ability perform detailed analysis on IT budget formulation and execution data.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Work in a matrixed team.

  • Experience with OMB IT portfolio management and CPIC data, processes, and reporting.

Responsibilities
