About The Position

This position is contingent upon the identification of a candidate whose expertise meets our strategic needs, at which point a dedicated, funded opening will be established. We are proactively seeking a standout professional for whom we will finalize a formal role. Join the Amentum team as a DOSIC - C5I Submarine SWFTS Modernization Specialist supporting contract efforts in Kings Bay, GA. The successful candidates will possess onboard modernization event NAVAL Shipyard experience. Combat Systems experience is preferred.

Requirements

  • Active Secret US Government Clearance. (Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Clearance.)
  • Ten (10) years of practical experience and High School diploma/GED OR degree/formal training and six (6) years practical experience. (Degree/Formal Training is defined as: Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program.)
  • Must be able to travel as needed. (5-10%)
  • Experience with Virginia Class Interior Communication Systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Qualified Virginia Class Submarines. (Active Duty)
  • Submarine Combat Systems Modernization, WAF and Tagout generation.
  • Development of Liaison Action Record (LAR) and Departure From Specification (DFS).

Responsibilities

  • Conducting deck plate audits and surveillances and document findings experience.
  • Possess a strong work controls background.
  • Project schedule management experience.
  • Identification and tracking of planned vs. actual progress experience.
  • Identification of problem or weak areas with the Alteration Installation Team (AIT) experience.
  • Identification and interpretation of drawing issues experience.
  • Experience working with the AIT to ensure deck plate work sequencing is being properly executed.
  • Providing written inputs to the Government On-Site Installation Coordinator(OSIC) experience.
  • Be able to attend LMA meetings, as directed by the OSIC.
  • Trip and weekly status report preparation experience.
