About The Position

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research ("the Foundation") is seeking top talent for its Donor Services Coordinator position. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Donor Services, this position supports daily donor services operations at the Foundation, including donation intake, gift documentation, deposits, batch preparation, matching gift requests, donor inquiries, and donor record maintenance. The role serves as a key customer service contact for donors, constituents, fundraisers, and internal partners, providing timely, accurate, and solution-oriented support while helping maintain quality control, response consistency, and a strong donor experience. This is a hybrid-flex position that will require in-person attendance at the Foundation's office in New York City.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, empathetic, and professional support to donors, constituents, fundraisers, and internal partners
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy when handling donor, financial, and gift-processing information
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, service channels, and deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift and carry packages up to 25 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce or another fundraising CRM is preferred
  • Experience with Zendesk or another customer service/ticketing platform is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as in-office point person for mail delivered to the office and forwarded from the Foundation’s PO Box; sort donations from general mail and prepare gifts for processing
  • Serve as primary support for the donations phone line, delivering prompt, courteous, and accurate assistance to donors, fundraisers, and internal partners while documenting inquiries and follow-up needs appropriately
  • Scan all donations and financial documentation, maintain electronic files, and ensure records are organized, complete, and accurate
  • Support check deposits through electronic banking; prepare cash deposits and deliver them to the bank as necessary
  • Prepare donation batches for data entry, set up batch templates in the CRM, and attach relevant media to support timely and accurate processing
  • Manage donation inquiries through Zendesk, responding to external constituents within 24–48 business hours with clear, empathetic, and solution-oriented communication
  • Respond to internal inquiries submitted through the Donor Services Inbox within 24–48 business hours, providing timely, accurate, and collaborative support to fundraising and operations teams
  • Complete matching gift requests in electronic and paper formats and maintain the related tracking system
  • Maintain quality control and high levels of accuracy across gift processing, data entry, documentation, and donor records
  • Manage time effectively across service channels and operational tasks that require response or resolution within 48 business hours
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen internal processes, improve response consistency, and elevate donor and constituent support across the Donor Services team
  • Create and maintain documentation and SOPs as needed to support consistent donor services workflows
  • Complete other projects and tasks assigned
