Donor Center Technician
About The Position
Grifols is hiring a Donor Center Technician for its Wichita, Kansas plasma center. The role performs donor screening and suitability assessments, supports donor setup, responds to customer needs, communicates with ineligible donor candidates, and ensures screening information is complete and confidential. Training is provided. Work takes place in a plasma center and involves exposure to biological fluids and infectious organisms, office and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold in a plasma freezer. Personal protective equipment is required. The position involves sitting or standing throughout the shift, frequent hand and foot movements, bending and twisting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Superior customer service standards.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information and follow oral or written instructions.
- Ability to perform varied, complex tasks in changing conditions.
- Ability to communicate sensitive information to diverse groups.
- Physical ability to sit or stand throughout the shift, bend and twist, frequently move both hands and feet, make precise finger movements, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Required hearing acuity, color perception/discrimination, and near and far vision correctable to the stated standards.
