Donation Site Attendant Part-Time (Jupiter)
About The Position
Goodwill Industries-Manasota, Inc. is a nonprofit serving 11 counties on Florida’s east and west coasts. Its mission-integrated social enterprise turns community donations into opportunities by providing training, resources, and support to help people obtain employment and build skills. As a Donation Center Attendant, you are the first point of contact for donors at attended donation centers. You provide friendly, efficient customer service; help unload donations; maintain a clean and safe site; and ensure donations are handled responsibly in keeping with Goodwill’s mission and values.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Basic computer skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, evenings, weekends, or at different locations.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and repetitive motion.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, or otherwise move up to 40 pounds without support regularly; request assistance from an additional team member for weights over 40 pounds as needed.
- Manual dexterity.
Responsibilities
- Greet donors promptly and courteously, assist with unloading donations, and provide tax receipts.
- Accurately record donor information and maintain daily donation counts.
- Sort donations into saleable, salvage, or trash categories.
- Keep the donation site clean, organized, and safe.
- Safeguard donated items and ensure proper use of equipment and supplies.
- Support transportation or site operations as needed.
- Report safety or maintenance concerns.
