Donation Attendant (Burbank Dr.)
About The Position
The Donation Attendant represents Goodwill positively to donors, accepts donations from the general public, and issues donation receipts. The role sorts donated materials as instructed and helps maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment. It promotes safe, efficient, and courteous service and follows company safety policies for the work area. The position involves considerable physical exertion and exposure to unfit donated goods and materials. An alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation station with no prior notice. Other work-related duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
- Market Goodwill and explain its mission to the general public.
- Read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
- Be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods and frequently bend, stoop, and stretch.
- Be able to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Be able to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Prior work experience in the service industry preferred, but not required.
