About The Position
The Donation Attendant works with the Shipping and Receiving team at outdoor donation trailer sites in Baton Rouge. The role involves interacting with donors, accepting and processing donations, receiving donated items, and helping sort and ship recyclable materials. The team handles donated goods carefully, sends items that do not go to the sales floor to the wholesale team, and separates recyclable materials to support customers, communities, and environmental sustainability. The position requires working safely and efficiently outdoors in changing weather, including heat, cold, and wet conditions, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Provide outstanding service to donors.
- Be willing to work outdoors in changing weather, including heat, cold, and wet conditions.
- Work safely and efficiently.
- Work effectively as part of a diverse team.
- Be organized and keep the work area neat and presentable.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Interact with donors at outdoor trailer sites and accept and process donations while providing outstanding service.
- Receive newly donated items from the Donations team.
- Sort and ship recyclable items to support sustainability.
- Unload trailers safely and efficiently.
- Keep the work area neat and presentable.
- Work collaboratively with the dock and Shipping and Receiving teams.
