About The Position

This is a full-time/part-time position for a Donation Assistant/Attendant. The role involves preparing donated merchandise for pricing and stocking the sales floor. The position requires the ability to work as part of a team, handle merchandise, and assist customers. The work environment is a production and retail setting, and the employee will be required to lift up to 20 pounds regularly.

Requirements

Ability to identify saleable merchandise.
Ability to prepare merchandise for pricing.
Ability to work as a team in a production environment and communicate with co-workers.
Good customer service skills.
Ability to work quickly without making excessive mistakes.
Ability to organize one’s work station.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to work 40 hours per week and meet the schedule demands of a production/retail environment.

Nice To Haves

Some retail or production experience is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

Selects items to be priced.
Removes and discards trash from donated merchandise.
Cleans merchandise as necessary.
Sorts merchandise for the department pricer.
Tags items before or after pricing.
Stocks the sales floor with priced merchandise.
Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Assists the department pricers in achieving sales and production goals.
Assists customers in their shopping experience when on the sales floor.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager/Assistant Manager.
