About The Position
Goodwill Industries of Akron, OH is looking to hire an entry-level Donation Attendant / Stock Associate. Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and load donations for clothing, furniture, and other household goods
- Ability to work outside in whatever Mother Nature throws our way
- Customer service skills

- Enjoy working with people
- Able to work efficiently with an awareness of what is going on around you
Responsibilities
- Accept, load, unload, sort, and price donations.
- Accept merchandise donations and provide assistance to donors.
- Offer donors a coupon, a receipt, and a smile.
- Sort clothing and household goods into categories.
- Test electronics to ensure they work properly before pricing them.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of donations.
- Promote the development of service participants.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area.
- Operate equipment with attention to safe operating procedures.
