About The Position

The DON/Health Services Director/Registered Nurse at Brightview leads the delivery of clinical care to residents and exemplifies the organization’s vision and mission. The role leads Licensed Nursing Associates and provides clinical supervision to MedTechs and Resident Assistants, supporting implementation of resident care plans that meet Brightview’s nursing standards and applicable regulations. The director provides nursing assessments and care oversight, identifies clinical trends, implements corrective action, and monitors accurate medication delivery. The role also works with residents’ physicians and other medical personnel to determine appropriate plans for continued care and is part of the Brightview community leadership team.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Solid computer and keyboarding skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent written communication skills, including proper grammar and professional writing.
Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse group of associates, residents, and family members.
Ability to apply reason, logic, and advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex or sensitive issues.
Ability to function as a team leader and contribute in a team environment.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and energy.
Strong customer orientation to older adults.
Ability to effectively communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

Experience in geriatric nursing or gerontology and dementia care.
Two or more years of experience in a health care supervisory role.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead a team of Licensed Nursing Associates.
Provide clinical supervision to MedTechs and Resident Assistants.
Lead the implementation of comprehensive resident care plans in accordance with Brightview nursing standards and applicable regulations.
Provide nursing assessments and care oversight.
Identify clinical trends and implement corrective action.
Monitor the accurate delivery of medications to residents.
Work with residents’ physicians and medical personnel on plans for continued care.
