About The Position

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and experienced Domestic Housekeeper / Household Assistant to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of a private residence. The ideal candidate will be proactive, responsible, and capable of efficiently managing household cleaning duties, laundry, meal preparation, cooking, and general household assistance. The position requires strong organizational skills, discretion, flexibility, and the ability to maintain a comfortable, clean, and well-managed home environment. The role includes cleaning and maintaining floors, furniture, windows, glass surfaces, kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas; washing, folding, organizing, and ironing laundry as needed; making beds; and keeping household spaces tidy. Meal-related duties include preparing daily family meals, planning meals around preferences and dietary requirements, following recipes, creating grocery lists, monitoring food inventory, storing food safely, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and preparing food for gatherings when requested. Other duties may include pet care, errands, grocery shopping, taking out trash and recycling, replenishing cleaning supplies, periodic deep cleaning, household organization projects, and communicating maintenance issues or concerns to the homeowner. The housekeeper must maintain confidentiality and respect the family's privacy.

Requirements

Previous experience in housekeeping, private household assistance, or a similar role is preferred.
Previous experience in home cooking and daily meal preparation.
Ability to prepare a variety of meals and follow recipes.
Basic knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and proper food storage.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and follow instructions.
Trustworthy, respectful, punctual, and dependable.
Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a private household environment.
Flexibility to accommodate household needs and schedules.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, and dust furniture, shelves, baseboards, and decorative items.
Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces and maintain the cleanliness and organization of all areas of the home.
Clean kitchen countertops, cabinets, appliances, dishes, sinks, refrigerator, oven, and microwave; dispose of trash and maintain sanitation.
Organize kitchen cabinets, pantry, and food storage areas.
Prepare and cook daily family meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as required.
Plan meals according to family preferences, dietary requirements, and instructions; prepare a variety of home-cooked meals using fresh ingredients and follow recipes.
Assist with weekly meal planning and grocery shopping lists; monitor food inventory and communicate grocery and ingredient needs to the homeowner.
Store food, leftovers, and ingredients properly to maintain freshness and food safety.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization before, during, and after meal preparation and follow food-handling, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
Prepare meals for family gatherings or special occasions when requested.
Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, showers, and bathtubs; disinfect surfaces and restock toiletries if needed.
Wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing; handle delicate fabrics carefully and iron clothes if required.
Change and make beds regularly; organize linens, towels, and laundry supplies.
Organize bedrooms and closets, assist with basic organization, and keep living areas tidy and presentable.
If applicable, walk dogs as scheduled, clean pet areas, dispose of waste, and provide pets with food and water.
Take out trash and recycling, replenish cleaning supplies, and report shortages.
Perform periodic deep cleaning and assist with special cleaning and household organization projects as needed.
Assist with grocery shopping and household errands when requested.
Maintain confidentiality and respect the family's privacy at all times.
Communicate maintenance issues, damaged items, or household concerns to the homeowner.
