About The Position

The Document Controller is responsible for organizing and archiving physical and digital records related to receiving, production processes, completed jobs, and training. This role involves verifying and scanning various reports and documents, completing job close processes, creating data books, scheduling inspections, and generating non-conformance reports. The position also requires adherence to health and safety policies and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Able to multi-task and manage a heavy and varied workload.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Interacts with others in terms of document control functions.
  • Responsibilities are of moderate complexity.
  • Must be able to capable of decision-making within defined role and display strong initiative.
  • Excellent personal interaction skills; outgoing, confident, and strong personal presentation.
  • Self-starter, willing to learn, seeks out opportunities for career and personal development.
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience working in a similar position.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and archive physical and digital records such as records deriving from receiving, production processes, completed jobs, training, etc.
  • Verify, accept and scan Material Test Reports
  • Verify, accept and scan records from vendors
  • Complete job close process once jobs have completed production
  • Create data books for manufactured products, when applicable
  • Schedule third party inspections
  • Create Non-conformance reports as needed and ensure they are resolved
  • Responsible for adhering to all health and safety policies and guidelines
  • Performs other duties or assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
