About The Position

The Dock Worker works within a distribution center to unload incoming products and reload and route delivery trucks. This role supports the distribution of plants for sale at Home Depot Garden Centers, particularly during seasonal months.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced team environment and cohesively with all areas.
• Ability to work in a safety-aware environment and follow direction.
• Ability to withstand varying weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
• Ability to bend, pull, and lift 50 pounds consistently throughout the workday.
• Ability to climb ladders and use a pallet jack.
• Strong work ethic and a proven history of punctuality.
• Ability to pull or push rolling carts.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Basic math skills and good dexterity skills.
• Successful applicants should expect screening for prohibited levels of drugs before beginning employment.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification.
• Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Unload and organize items in the correct areas.
• Pull and prepare orders for delivery.
• Locate items using site or UPC tags.
• Apply the correct signage to carts.
• Perform other non-daily tasks as needed.
