About The Position
The Dock Worker works within the distribution center to unload incoming products and reload and route delivery trucks. The role supports the distribution of plants for sale at Home Depot Garden Centers, particularly during seasonal periods.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received.
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced team environment and work cohesively with all areas.
- Ability to work in a safety-aware environment and follow directions.
- Ability to withstand varying weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
- Ability to bend, pull, and consistently lift 50 pounds throughout the workday.
- Ability to climb ladders and use a pallet jack.
- Strong work ethic and a proven history of punctuality.
- Ability to pull or push rolling carts.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Basic math skills and good dexterity.
- Successful applicants should expect screening for prohibited levels of drugs before beginning employment.

- Forklift certification (optional/preferred).
- Bilingual ability (optional/preferred).
Responsibilities
- Unload and organize items in the correct areas.
- Pull and prepare orders for delivery.
- Locate the correct items using site or UPC tags.
- Apply the correct signage to carts.
- Perform other non-daily tasks as needed.
