About The Position

Dockhands safely and accurately manage inventory, package products, and load shipments to help achieve company goals. The role also includes receiving purchase orders, picking and packaging orders from the order fulfillment center, assembling tanks to quality specifications, and assisting other Triton departments upon request. The position requires understanding Triton and customer shipping processes, with the ability to back up the Shipping Administrator. It also involves operating material handling equipment safely, maintaining picking accuracy and efficiency, staging loads to minimize truck drivers’ time on the dock, validating inventory counts, protecting products during transit, receiving dock deliveries, and following labeling requirements. Dockhands are expected to promote a positive work environment, model the Triton way, apply 6S practices, and suggest improvements.

Responsibilities

Safely operate material handling equipment.
Pick orders accurately and efficiently.
Stage and prepare shipment loads to minimize truck drivers’ time on the dock.
Validate inventory counts when locating product.
Package products to prevent damage during transit.
Receive purchase orders delivered to the dock.
Follow inventory and shipping labeling requirements.
Understand Triton and customer shipping procedures and systems, and be able to back up the Shipping Administrator.
Assemble tanks to quality specifications.
Assist other Triton departments upon request.
Encourage and maintain a positive work environment by exemplifying the Triton way.
Model the Triton way for other team members.
Apply 6S principles to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe workspace.
Offer suggestions and ideas to improve the work environment.
