About The Position

This position is an Operations Coordinator Position in the Northeast Region of Florida responsible for conducting site visits to residential programs to monitor programs.

Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required.

  • If initially hired with an out-of-state license, the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
  • Licenses suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose/Employment/education only licenses) and some types of restricted licenses are not acceptable.
  • Licenses that have Corrective Lenses Restriction are acceptable, provided the driver wears corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering or administrative work.
  • A master’s degree from a college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience working with delinquent youth in a Residential setting.
  • Experience conducting investigations, program reviews, and program monitoring and making recommendations based on findings.
  • Experience working with the DJJ incident reporting system (Central Communications Center) and Juvenile Justice Information System (JJIS)
  • Computer Software experience such as Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts multi-disciplinary case conferences and placement planning for youth recommended for commitment to the department.
  • Ensures compliance with state regulations regarding multi-disciplinary case conferences and placement planning for committed youth, including transfer staffing.
  • Responsible for coordinating placement planning within existing commitment resources as well as utilizing and ensuring all appropriate data is entered into the Juvenile Justice Information System (JJIS).
  • Prepares all related reports and recommendations for corrective action and performs ongoing monitoring of corrective actions.
  • Coordinate regional activities required to reduce the number of committed youths awaiting placement.
  • Visits regional commitment programs.
  • Travels to contracted provider programs within the north region.
  • Utilizes the JJIS (Juvenile Justice Information System) to assess program performance, evaluate trend data and develop appropriate management strategies.
  • Assist with oversight of Contracted Provider facilities/services as needed.
