About The Position

The Division Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of 50-75 employees across various trades including scaffold, mechanical, insulation, industrial cleaning, and industrial maintenance. This role ensures all work is planned, scheduled, and executed safely and efficiently, with responsibility for all trades work in Nebraska. The position involves both field visits and office duties, including managing quotes, scheduling, client communication, and team training and development.

Requirements

  • A bachelor degree in construction management and five years of work experience or 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of safety and administrative principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Teams and Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and move up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairways regularly throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other tools and equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Ability to perform inspections of site, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform behavioral observations focused on safety and process improvement.
  • Ability to follow safety protocol and to report any incident, unsafe act, or unsafe condition immediately to the site supervisor and safety manager.
  • Must complete an OSHA 30 hour within 60 days of starting.

Responsibilities

  • Actively manages the day-to-day operations of 3-5 Superintendents/Project Managers.
  • Works with Superintendents to develop schedules, while effectively communicating and allocating resources between projects.
  • Reviews and approves project estimates and drafts, and submits proposals to prospective clients.
  • Serves as a liaison for key client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Actively participates in business development initiatives, collaborating with business development employees to identify and secure new business within the region.
  • Oversees customer relations and proactively manages conflict resolution.
  • Actively reviews all sites within their management to review current work practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Reviews and approves all purchase orders, manages costs, and cost reporting for client billing.
  • Assists with onboarding and offboarding team members and is responsible for resolving employee disputes.
  • Leads efforts to build a high-performing team, actively involved in recruiting, training, and mentoring future leaders.
  • Enforces jobsite safety to comply with all OSHA regulations and the hth companies' Safety Program.
  • Actively champions a positive workplace and safety culture.
  • Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned.
