The Division Controller provides support in budget preparation and expense management activities, directing, overseeing, and guiding the daily accounting functions for specific business units or facilities within the organization. This role assists in cash collection activities, executes internal controls and audits for SOX compliance, conducts ad hoc financial analyses, and prepares reports to facilitate decision-making. The Controller is responsible for the preparation of financial statements and filings to ensure compliance with company, state, and official rules and regulations. They coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes, plan and guide projects, assess current accounting operations for improvements, and coordinate with account executives to streamline budget processing. A key aspect of the role involves managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data for accurate business results and providing leadership to team members through effective communication, goal setting, coaching, and development opportunities. The position also requires participation in training and learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services, and ensuring compliance with all company, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws regarding employment and employee safety.
