About The Position

This role has primary responsibility for leading the accounting function of the Companys Enterprise Division, including compliance with revenue recognition guidance and oversight of international subsidiary financial statements. The Divisional Controller role also supports the Companys SEC reporting functions and assists with various accounting, financial, and reporting functions within our organization. Your responsibilities will include accounting for various areas of our Enterprise Division operations, preparing reports, monthly close responsibilities, assisting with quarter-end reviews and annual audits, and analyzing and adopting new accounting standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial success of the organization while gaining valuable multi-faceted accounting experience in a dynamic professional environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in accounting
  • CPA license
  • 7+ years of recent experience in public accounting including experience in revenue recognition expertise and managing teams

  • Strong understanding of converting foreign financial statements to US GAAP
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial software applications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines associated with SEC reporting

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for Enterprise Division accounting and finance functions.
  • Full managerial responsibility for a team of accounting analysts, accounting specialists, and accounting supervisors.
  • Direct responsibilities for the Enterprise North America segment, and oversight of international subsidiary accounting and reporting, with supervisory responsibility over the Director of Accounting for the Enterprise International segment.
  • Management of the Companys revenue recognition accounting across both the Enterprise and Education divisions.
  • Assist with the month-end close and the completion of quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
  • Ability to analyze new accounting standards and develop strategies to successfully adopt the new standards.
  • Assist with external SEC reporting, internal reporting and analyses, and projects.
  • Drive for continuous process improvement with experience in automation and leveraging technology to achieve improved efficiency.
