About The Position

The Division Controller will act as a strategic business partner to the Business Unit, supporting operational, commercial, and growth initiatives. This role involves translating financial and operational data into insights that drive informed decision-making, performance improvement, and long-term value creation. The Division Controller will lead financial planning, forecasting, scenario modeling, and strategic analysis aligned with enterprise objectives, while also supporting pricing, capital investment, and margin expansion strategies. A key aspect of this role is leading financial governance, standardization, and performance alignment across multiple manufacturing locations, establishing consistent accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting practices. The position drives visibility and accountability through standardized KPIs and financial performance metrics, and partners with corporate finance to ensure enterprise alignment and transparency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience with financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial modeling tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and cost accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, scenario modeling, and strategic analysis aligned with enterprise objectives.

  • Establish consistent accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting practices across business unit.

  • Optimize shared services for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Credit, Collections, and Cash Application.
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and workflow optimization to enhance scalability and efficiency.
  • Establish service-level expectations and monitor cycle times, working capital impact, and service quality.
  • Strengthen credit and collections processes to improve cash flow and customer partnership.
  • Lead standard cost design, maintenance, and governance across the business unit.
  • Analyze cost drivers, manufacturing variances, and operational performance to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with operations to improve labor productivity, material efficiency, and throughput.
  • Support lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Evaluate product, customer, and channel profitability.
  • Provide financial insight related to capacity utilization, operational constraints, and capital efficiency.
  • Direct the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and GAAP compliant financial reporting.
  • Lead weekly soft close, and month-end; year-end close activities across the division.
  • Provide variance analysis and forward-looking insights to leadership.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to enable real-time decision-making.
  • Lead working capital strategy including receivables, payables, and inventory.
  • Improve cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
  • Partner with supply chain and operations to optimize inventory levels and turns.
  • Monitor and improve DPO and Day Working Capital.
  • Lead financial system optimization and adoption of ERP and digital tools.
  • Partner with IT and functional leaders to ensure strong financial data integrity and system integration.
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of ERP and related analytics platforms.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making and automation.
  • Ensure strong internal controls and financial governance aligned with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead risk identification and mitigation related to financial and operations processes.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, ISO, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain audit readiness and transparency.
  • Evaluate capital investments and ensure alignment with business strategy and return expectations.
  • Support capital allocation decisions and post-investment performance tracking.
  • Support financial due diligence, integration, and alignment for future acquisitions.
  • Establish scalable processes that support enterprise growth.
