About The Position

Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), part of Foundation Building Materials, provides commercial door, frame, and architectural hardware solutions to commercial, institutional, and multi-family markets across North America. The Division 8 Project Manager helps deliver projects successfully from start to finish, coordinating with customers, sales, operations, suppliers, and vendors. The role includes project documentation, purchasing, estimating, submittals, and preparing product take-offs and design specifications. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience with wood doors, hollow metal frames, and commercial door hardware.
Knowledge of contract documents.
Experience with large projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong reading comprehension.
Attention to detail.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
Current knowledge of codes, products, and design changes for doors, frames, and finish hardware.

Nice To Haves

DHI certification.
Knowledge of Specworks, Comsense, Protech, or similar industry-related software.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with outside sales, the operations manager, and customers to understand project requirements.
Resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
Coordinate with operations to deliver materials to job sites.
Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
Document project details through sales orders, purchase orders, order acknowledgements, submittals, emails, and other correspondence.
Work with suppliers and vendors to obtain product information, lead times, and shipping details.
Purchase materials for assigned jobs, select vendors, negotiate the best purchase price, and maintain knowledge of vendor pricing.
Take sales calls and receive orders.
Prepare material and cost estimates for products or services.
Create submittals and transmit them to customers.
Create take-offs for doors, frames, and hardware.
Create machine sheets and other design specifications for frame, door, and hardware products as needed.
