About The Position

The Branch Manager at Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG) provides overall leadership, direction, and management of branch operations. This senior-level management role oversees Engineering, Project Management, Warehouse Operations, Service, and administrative functions, and partners closely with Sales to achieve operational and financial objectives. The position exercises substantial independent judgment and discretion in managing branch performance, financial results, staffing decisions, customer relationships, and operational execution. The Branch Manager fosters accountability, safety, customer service, and continuous improvement while ensuring the branch meets its profitability, service, and growth objectives. Responsibilities include directing branch operations, monitoring financial and project performance, developing employees, managing customer and supplier relationships, overseeing project execution, and ensuring facilities, assets, and operations comply with company policies and applicable requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead, direct, and oversee branch operations and functional departments.
Set performance expectations and accountability standards aligned with branch and organizational goals.
Coordinate Engineering, Project Management, Warehouse Operations, Service, and Administration to support operational efficiency.
Promote safety, teamwork, customer service, and operational excellence.
Monitor branch performance, take corrective action when needed, and support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
Maintain accountability for branch financial performance, profitability, and operational results.
Review financial reports, project performance metrics, labor costs, and operating expenses; develop action plans to address concerns.
Monitor project profitability, change orders, labor utilization, overtime, and branch productivity.
Assist with collections and oversee customer account aging.
Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
Recruit, develop, coach, and retain employees; evaluate performance and provide ongoing coaching.
Recommend and administer promotions, salary adjustments, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement initiatives.
Identify training needs, support employee development, foster engagement and morale, and support succession planning and workforce development.
Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, architects, and industry professionals.
Resolve customer issues, support customer retention and acquisition, collaborate with Sales on business development, and represent the company professionally.
Meet with suppliers and vendor partners to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities.
Monitor project execution and operational performance to ensure customer expectations are met.
Review sales activity, project financials, production schedules, labor utilization, and operational metrics.
Oversee quoting considerations, including freight, storage, project timelines, and operational requirements.
Ensure appropriate management of contracts, change orders, and project execution risks.
Coordinate Operations, Project Management, Engineering, and Sales teams; identify ways to improve processes, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Oversee branch facilities, equipment, vehicle fleet, and physical assets.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, applicable regulations, and organizational procedures.
Support inventory management and asset utilization, maintain operational controls, and monitor workplace conditions for safety and productivity.
