About The Position

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Diversity and EEO Officer at our Headquarters facility in Millersville, MD. The Diversity Officer will be responsible for furthering MES’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Diversity Officer will coordinate the development and implementation of the Service’s diversity policy and work closely with MES leadership to develop and implement programs to support the agency’s diversity initiatives and strategies to attract, hire, and maintain a diverse workforce. As the EEO Officer, this position will oversee, administer, and implement State and Federal policies and will provide leadership with guidance related to equal employment opportunity.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
5 years of human resources experience.
At least two years specializing in equal employment opportunity and diversity programs.
Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local EEO laws and regulations.
Excellent organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability work effectively with individuals across various backgrounds.
Valid driver’s license with less than 5 points.
Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities
