District Support Pharmacist Full Time
About The Position
The District Support Pharmacist is a Staff Pharmacist who supports the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff and helps manage, oversee, and operate all aspects of the pharmacy. The role covers patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel and inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management. The pharmacist also adopts and manages patient care programs to support customers’ and patients’ health. They lead with empathy, motivate and develop pharmacy support staff, identify and implement solutions to improve pharmacy growth and performance, adapt to change in a community healthcare setting, collaborate to improve outcomes, align colleagues around shared goals, contribute to a positive team culture, and apply their knowledge to promote healthy outcomes.
Requirements
- Active pharmacy license in the state of employment.
- Must not be on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- Immunization certification through an accredited organization, such as APhA.
- Must be free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
