The District Sales Manager executes the strategic business objectives as a multi-unit manager of a defined district in sales management, store operations, merchandising, and profitability. This role involves managing overall sales performance, maximizing transaction closing ratios, and developing in-store strategies to counter competitor efforts. The manager is responsible for driving sales to meet or exceed budget, executing the company's selling program, and maintaining awareness of competitor activities. They will also resolve customer issues, conduct sales meetings, and manage the financial performance of the district, including variable expenses and inventory shrinkage. A key part of the role is the development of Senior Store Managers/Store Managers and managing strategic action plans. The District Sales Manager also oversees new store openings, remodels, and closings, recruits and hires staff, and ensures proper market staffing ratios and training. Merchandising responsibilities include reviewing sales promotions, evaluating SKU performance, and executing the current merchandising plan and pricing strategies. The role also requires completing all required training, following safety policies, communicating professionally, and executing company standards. Non-essential responsibilities include executing company initiatives and contributing ideas for optimization.
