About The Position

We are seeking an inspiring, results-driven District Sales Manager to lead, coach, and scale a high-performing team of BioPharma Account Executives (BPA) across the United States and Canada. Focusing on emerging Biotech, TechBio, and Small- to Mid-Sized Pharmaceutical companies, this leader will foster a relentless prospecting and "hunter" culture while driving strategic market adoption of our genomics solutions. The ideal candidate combines deep technical authority in Single Cell Transcriptomics, Spatial Transcriptomics, and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) with a passion for sales mentorship. You will be responsible not only for high-level commercial strategy and C-suite relationship building, but also for hiring, coaching, and developing ambitious, high-trajectory sales professionals into elite consultative sellers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in the Life Sciences (Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field).
  • 5+ years of successful sales, marketing, or commercial experience within the Life Sciences industry, specifically selling products in Single Cell Transcriptomics, Spatial Transcriptomics, Genomics, and/or NGS.
  • Proven track record of sales success and market penetration within the emerging Biotech, TechBio, and Small/Mid-Sized Pharma sectors, including a thorough understanding of emerging industry trends and ability to be agile and quickly adapt strategies.
  • Strong working knowledge of AI/computational biology applications and how Single Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics serve as foundational data layers in modern drug discovery.
  • Demonstrated skill in coaching and developing early-to-mid-career sales professionals, elevating raw drive and sales hunger into high technical and commercial performance.

  • Established network and deep contact list of existing relationships with senior leaders and decision-makers in the BioPharma industry.
  • 3+ years of direct sales management experience (or proven equivalent experience) hiring, building, and leading field-based sales teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of AI/computational biology applications and how Single Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics serve as foundational data layers in modern drug discovery.
  • Master’s degree (MS) or equivalent in Life Sciences; PhD is a distinct plus.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to influence internal stakeholders and external C-suite executives.

Responsibilities

  • Build & Coach a High-Velocity Sales Team: Recruit, onboard, and mentor ambitious, coachable sales professionals. Provide intensive, ongoing coaching in consultative selling, creative outbound prospecting, and technical sales methodologies.
  • Drive Accountability & Urgency: Establish clear performance standards, set ambitious territory goals, and foster an energetic, "hunter-first" culture that thrives on opening new accounts and exceeding quotas.
  • Active Talent Development: Conduct regular field-ride coaching, individual career counseling, and rigorous performance appraisals to accelerate rep development and career advancement.
  • Lead C-Suite & Executive Selling: Partner directly with Account Executives to identify, unlock, and close strategic opportunities—building trusted relationships with BioPharma C-suite executives and senior decision-makers to drive long-term technology adoption.
  • Execute Territory Business Plans: Develop, deploy, and continuously monitor dynamic district business plans to achieve assigned revenue and strategic objectives across the US and Canada.
  • Penetrate Emerging Markets: Guide the team in uncovering new market opportunities across the rapidly evolving Biotech, TechBio, and Small/Mid-Pharma landscapes.
  • Master Pipeline Discipline: Routinely and accurately forecast customer demand (orders, revenue, shipments) while enforcing strict CRM (Salesforce.com) data hygiene and operational compliance.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage strong analytical skills to evaluate financial reports, monitor district health, identify competitive pressures, and translate data into actionable commercial strategies.
