About The Position

The District Manager (DM) is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and operations of multiple restaurants within an assigned market. The DM leads and develops Restaurant General Managers (RGMs), drives sales and profitability, ensures consistent execution of Company and Pizza Hut standards, and promotes a positive work environment and guest experience across the district. The District Manager is accountable for identifying performance opportunities, developing effective action plans, and ensuring restaurant leaders have the direction, resources, and support needed to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of multi-unit leadership experience in the restaurant, hospitality, retail, or related industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop managers across multiple locations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales, profitability, and operational performance.
  • Strong financial, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to hold leaders accountable while building an engaged and productive team culture.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple locations and priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-unit restaurant environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business and restaurant needs.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to Restaurant General Managers across the assigned district.
  • Ensure consistent execution of Company and Pizza Hut operational, food quality, service, cleanliness, and brand standards.
  • Conduct regular restaurant visits and evaluate operational performance, restaurant readiness, and guest experience.
  • Identify performance gaps and partner with RGMs to develop and execute corrective action plans.
  • Ensure Company programs, promotions, new products, and operational initiatives are effectively implemented across the district.
  • Promote a strong guest-service culture and ensure customer concerns are appropriately addressed.
  • Recruit, coach, develop, and retain high-performing Restaurant General Managers and restaurant leadership teams.
  • Set clear expectations and hold restaurant leaders accountable for operational, financial, and people results.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, recognition, and performance management.
  • Develop succession plans and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified restaurant leadership talent.
  • Support RGMs in recruiting, staffing, training, retention, and employee development.
  • Partner with Human Resources, as appropriate, on employee relations, performance management, and other people-related matters.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, open communication, and a respectful work environment throughout the district.
  • Drive district sales, profitability, and achievement of established financial and operational goals.
  • Monitor restaurant sales, labor, food cost, inventory, controllable expenses, and other key performance indicators.
  • Review restaurant financial and operating results and hold RGMs accountable for addressing performance opportunities.
  • Develop and execute plans to improve sales, profitability, productivity, and overall restaurant performance.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, labor planning, and expense management across the district.
  • Identify trends and opportunities across restaurants and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Communicate district performance, opportunities, and business needs to senior operations leadership.
  • Ensure restaurants operate in accordance with Company policies, Pizza Hut standards, and applicable food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and health requirements.
  • Monitor restaurant compliance with cash handling, deposits, inventory controls, security procedures, and asset-protection requirements.
  • Ensure restaurants maintain appropriate documentation and are prepared for applicable inspections, audits, and brand evaluations.
  • Address significant safety, security, cash, or operational concerns promptly and escalate matters as appropriate.
  • Ensure restaurant facilities and equipment are maintained to support safe and effective operations.
  • Lead execution of Company marketing programs, product launches, promotions, and sales-building initiatives across the district.
  • Partner with RGMs to identify local sales opportunities and support approved local restaurant marketing efforts.
  • Monitor competitive activity, market conditions, and restaurant performance trends.
  • Identify opportunities to increase guest traffic, sales, and overall market performance.
  • Ensure restaurants have appropriate staffing and operational plans to support business growth.
  • Maintain regular communication with RGMs regarding restaurant performance, staffing, operational priorities, and business needs.
  • Conduct restaurant visits, meetings, and performance reviews to reinforce expectations and drive accountability.
  • Communicate Company priorities, policies, and operational changes effectively throughout the district.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and other Company departments to support restaurant operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
