About The Position

The Distribution Technician ensures accurate, efficient, and timely distribution of medical and non-medical supplies throughout the hospital. The role manages inventory and storage areas, processes supply requests, and coordinates with hospital departments, clinics, and other designated areas to meet their supply needs. This position does not require patient care.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One to two years of warehouse or receiving experience.
Familiarity with medical and non-medical supplies commonly used in a hospital environment.
Basic knowledge of inventory control principles, supply chain processes, and warehouse operations.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling supplies and maintaining records.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
The role does not accept experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock checks, expiration-date monitoring, and usage tracking.
Receive and process supply requests from hospital departments.
Organize and coordinate supply distribution to departments, clinics, and other designated areas.
Rotate stock to maintain proper product dating and prevent expiration.
Assist with managing and tracking equipment, including medical devices, instruments, and reusable supplies.
Follow quality-control processes, including visual inspections, product-specification verification, and regulatory compliance.
Maintain accurate records of supply transactions, distribution activities, and inventory management.
