Supervise the daily activities of warehouse employees engaged in all distribution center activities including: shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, stacking, picking, and packing finished products. This role involves in-depth knowledge within a single work area or developing broad knowledge across a number of policy/technical areas. It is for an experienced technician/administrator with a number of years of business experience, possessing knowledge of standardized rules, procedures, and operations within their area. The individual determines a course of action based on guidelines, encounters similar problems requiring fact-finding and basic analysis, and selects the best resolution from defined procedures or precedence. Interaction involves exchanging standard/basic technical or non-technical information with colleagues and superiors, potentially interpreting technical information for understanding. The impact is limited to short-term team performance (less than one year), supporting goal achievement through personal effort. The role requires planning, progress assessment, and effort adjustment to meet goals. Accountability includes meeting day-to-day team targets that impact the immediate work unit and monitoring costs related to own work and the team's. Input into the performance appraisal process is also a responsibility.
