About The Position

The Distribution Specialist is part of the Supply Chain Operations team and is responsible for monitoring and assuring that supplies and patient care equipment are maintained. The role resolves and fulfills requests and inquiries, contributing to excellent health care experiences for MultiCare patients and families. The position is based at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, Washington, and is per diem with a variable shift and schedule.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
At least two years of experience in receiving, product distribution, warehousing, storekeeping, hospital Central Service, or Inventory Control preferred; a combination of knowledge and education that demonstrates the qualifications to perform the duties may also be considered.
Computer input and keyboard experience desired.
Basic experience with PC business applications, including MS Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

Experience with a computerized Materials Management system preferred.
Experience using electronic signature software preferred.

Responsibilities

Verify materials and receipt documentation against purchase orders and enter purchase order receipts.
Coordinate with Purchasing personnel to resolve purchase order or receipt discrepancies.
Package and process supplies and materials being returned to vendors or other facilities, and coordinate shipping.
Supply stores stock supplies within their designated Distribution Storeroom locations.
