About The Position

The Distribution Specialist works on the Supply Chain Operations team, monitoring and helping maintain supplies and patient-care equipment. The role resolves and fulfills requests and inquiries, contributing to health care experiences for MultiCare patients and families. It is based at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network in Tacoma, Washington. The position is listed as 1.0 FTE, with variable shifts and eight-hour schedules.

Requirements

High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
At least two years of experience in receiving, product distribution, warehousing, storekeeping, hospital Central Service, or Inventory Control is preferred; a combination of knowledge and education demonstrating the qualifications to perform the duties may also qualify.
Computer input and keyboard experience is desired.
Experience with a computerized Materials Management system is preferred.
Experience using electronic signature software is preferred.
Basic experience with PC business applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Verify materials and receipt documentation against purchase orders and enter purchase order receipts.
Coordinate with Purchasing personnel to resolve purchase order or receipt discrepancies.
Package and process supplies and materials being returned to vendors or other facilities, and coordinate shipping.
Supply and stock items in their designated Distribution Storeroom locations.
