About The Position

The Distribution Service Representative, under the direction of the Transportation Distribution Supervisor, performs daily activities that include picking up client specimens, keeping accurate counts, preserving specimen integrity during delivery to the lab, and distributing supplies and other items to clients. The representative follows assigned routes and schedules, maintains accurate records, interacts with clients, and complies with safety, specimen-handling, confidentiality, security, and corporate compliance requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid and current driver's license.
• Good DMV report.
• Must be able to work flexible hours as needed or required.

• One year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick up specimens from clients according to established procedures and timetables.
• Deliver specimens to designated drop-off points.
• Ensure specimen integrity is maintained during transport.
• Deliver reports and supplies to clients on an assigned route.
• Maintain accurate logs of specimens, reports, and supplies picked up or dropped off on an assigned route.
• Record client requests for supplies and special services and forward them to the appropriate person or department.
• Interact with clients daily and forward client concerns to a coordinator or local supervisor for corrective action.
• Provide a high level of customer care with a friendly and cooperative attitude, demonstrating flexibility in responding to customer demands.
• Inspect the assigned vehicle routinely, including gas, tires, appearance, and fluid levels; immediately report problems and maintain accurate monthly logs.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in defensive driving techniques.
• Remain current in training and knowledge of specimen handling.
• Complete special assignments as required by the coordinator or local supervisor.
• Perform responsibilities in accordance with industry best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect protected health information and other sensitive company data.
• Understand and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all corporate policies, including Privacy and Security policies.
