About The Position

The Distribution Service Representative, under the direction of the Transportation Distribution Supervisor, performs daily activities involving pickup of client specimens, accurate counting, preservation of specimen integrity during delivery to the laboratory, and distribution of supplies and other items to clients. The role follows assigned routes and procedures, interacts with clients, maintains vehicle and route records, and complies with safety, confidentiality, security, and corporate policies.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid and current driver’s license.
Good DMV report.
Must be able to work flexible hours as needed or required.

Nice To Haves

One year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Pick up specimens from clients according to established procedures and timetables.
Deliver specimens to designated drop-off points.
Ensure specimen integrity is maintained during transport.
Deliver reports and supplies to clients on an assigned route.
Maintain accurate logs of specimens, reports, and supplies picked up or dropped off on an assigned route.
Record clients’ requests for supplies and special services and forward them to the appropriate person or department.
Interact with clients daily and forward client concerns to a coordinator or local supervisor for corrective action.
Maintain high levels of customer care and demonstrate a friendly, cooperative attitude and flexibility in meeting customer demands.
Perform routine inspections of the assigned vehicle, including gas, tires, appearance, and fluid levels; report problems promptly and maintain accurate monthly logs.
Adhere to safety procedures and participate in defensive driving techniques.
Remain current in training and knowledge of specimen handling.
Complete special assignments as required by the coordinator or local supervisor.
Perform responsibilities in alignment with industry security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect protected health information and other sensitive company data.
Understand and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all corporate policies, including Privacy and Security policies.
