About the position
The job overview for this position is that the Distribution Operations Analyst will support sales operations and distribution by providing business overview for the sales submission and credit issuance application for Channel Partners. They will also lead and develop digitalization efforts with channel partners, interface with operational channel leaders to discuss and promote digital policies and procedures, and provide accurate and essential data through standardized and ad-hoc business sales reports. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide support for the POS One File application.
- Analyze, validate, and reconcile sales data in support of organizational requirements.
- Evaluate and analyze point of sale and sales rebate information with channel partners and provide feedback on credit issuance.
- Collaborate with sales operations, channel management, and information technology to suggest and implement digital initiatives.
- Meet with operational teams at channel partners to identify digitalization opportunities.
- Assist in digitizing and enforcing distribution processes and policies.
- Support implementation of a digital two-way exchange of business, marketing, sales, and information.
- Create detailed PowerPoint presentations for internal and external presentations.
- Conduct oral and written presentations on company policies and procedures.
- Utilize resources to maximize productivity, responsiveness, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Design and develop standardized business sales reports.
- Implement ad-hoc reports based on inquiries and requests.
- Maintain a working knowledge of CRM, databases, and reporting tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred or equivalent analyst work experience
- Understanding of distribution as a manufacturer's sales channel (profit margins, inventory levels, turns, etc.)
- Practical experience with Web Intelligence software preferred
- Prior hands-on experience with CRM Software
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (2-4 hours at a time)
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time (up to 4 hours at a time)
- Ability to travel in vehicles (automobiles, trains & planes) for up to 10 hours
- Effective communication skills in verbal and written English
