About The Position

The Distribution Driver Class B delivers products to customer locations and is responsible for inspecting, preparing, loading, unloading, operating, and cleaning vehicles while following Southern Glazer’s and Department of Transportation safety guidelines. The role also includes reviewing standing orders, developing sales, processing payments, and maintaining delivery records. This is a full-time position with a four-day Tuesday–Friday work week, and drivers are home every night.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency.
At least 1 year of experience.
Class B Commercial Driver's License.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48 pounds.
Able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stations.

Responsibilities

Deliver products statewide to bars, restaurants, hotels, and other customer locations.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Receive payment for delivered goods.
Sort merchandise by invoice for delivery.
Operate the delivery vehicle safely and courteously at all times.
Check in money and returned goods daily with the Driver Check-in and Accounting Cashier.
Complete required daily paperwork, including the Department of Transportation logbook and driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR).
Follow company uniform standards and report to work neat, clean, and properly attired.
Follow safety regulations and perform duties safely.
Plan trip logistics and obtain necessary documents to transport goods.
Load and unload cargo and use required safety equipment.
Secure cargo in compliance with safety requirements.
Report incidents to the dispatcher.
Follow all traffic laws.
Keep the vehicle, product, and equipment tidy and in good working order.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
