About The Position

The Distribution Driver Class B delivers products to customer locations and is responsible for inspecting, preparing, loading, unloading, operating, and cleaning the delivery vehicle. The role follows Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (SGWS) and Department of Transportation (DOT) safety guidelines and includes reviewing standing orders, developing sales, processing payments, and maintaining records. This is a full-time position with a Tuesday-through-Friday, four-day work week, local routes, and home every night. Compensation is $27 per hour, plus a $6,000 sign-on bonus, paid as $3,000 after 90 days and $3,000 after 180 days. The role may require extended hours, overtime, weekends, and peak-season schedules.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience.
Class B Commercial Driver's License required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48 pounds.
Able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stations.

Responsibilities

Deliver products statewide to bars, restaurants, hotels, and other customer locations.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Receive payment for delivered goods.
Sort merchandise by invoice for delivery.
Operate the delivery vehicle safely and courteously.
Check in money and returned goods daily with Driver Check-in and the Accounting Cashier.
Complete required daily paperwork, including the DOT logbook and driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR).
Meet company uniform standards.
Follow safety regulations and perform duties safely.
Plan trip logistics and obtain documents needed to transport goods.
Load and unload cargo while using required safety equipment.
Secure cargo in compliance with safety requirements.
Report incidents to the dispatcher.
Follow traffic laws.
Keep the vehicle, product, and equipment tidy and in good working order.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
