About The Position

OmniCable is seeking a hands-on Distribution Center Lead to support day-to-day operations at its Georgia distribution center. The lead works with the local Distribution Center Manager to ensure customer orders are processed effectively and efficiently and the facility operates as required. OmniCable’s distribution centers support a Just-In-Time inventory model. The role may lead the team in the manager’s absence and work with local and national sales teams to meet customer order requirements. The position is performed in a distribution center environment with fluctuating temperatures.

Requirements

Authorized to work in the United States.
At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic math skills.
Prior use of RF technology and computerized WMS systems.
High energy, dependability, and teamwork skills.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to bend, twist, lift, and stand for up to 8 hours a day.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Process daily orders to support customer satisfaction while multitasking competing priorities.
Become a subject matter expert in distribution center operations, including receiving, picking, cutting, striping, shipping, and carrier selection.
Support the Distribution Center Manager with facilities management, safety, security, equipment maintenance, inventory control, and other non-order-related work.
Lead the team in the local manager’s absence, as needed.
Work with local and national sales teams to ensure customer-specific order requirements are met on time and as promised.
Assist with employee training and development and ensure procedures are followed.
Open and close the facility as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
