About The Position

Hilco Vision, a global eye care company, is seeking experienced Distribution Associates for its state-of-the-art facility in Fairfield, Ohio. This part-time role focuses on picking, packing, and shipping within the distribution department, requiring both accuracy and speed to meet customer demands. The position involves working with various equipment and adhering to strict safety and quality standards. Overtime may be mandatory, and some Saturdays may be scheduled with advance notice.

Requirements

Able to work independently and within a team environment; understanding that the customer need is of the utmost importance
Read, write, speak and understand English
Able to utilize a computer w/ MS Window Systems and web-based applications
Multi-tasking skills, working on different orders at once
Attention to detail
Comfortable with using a ladder, comfortable with heights of 10’
Capable of lifting boxes that weigh up to 40lbs

Lot number experience preferred

Responsibilities

Accurately pick, pack, and ship customer orders at department standard pick/pack rates
Receive and put away inventory
Ensure product meets quality requirements
Use scanners to read bar codes on products
View prompts on screens and follow the direction for some tasks
Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
Work around moving machines – order pickers, stand-up forklifts, and mobile carts
Operate power industrial trucks such as a forklift or pallet driver, and work at heights up to 35 feet for order picking
Activities may require standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs
Maintain a neat and clean work area
Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards
