About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting in the development, documentation, implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and security of a distributed computer systems environment. This includes managing hardware, operating systems, software applications, and communication components. The role also involves assisting with disaster preparedness, response, and the improvement of Information Technology processes. Key functions include providing technical support to end users, troubleshooting hardware, software, operating systems, applications, and connectivity issues, and resolving access and authentication problems. The specialist will install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and security patches, and support enterprise applications. Responsibilities extend to troubleshooting network connectivity, supporting directory and access management, and assisting with server hardware and software configuration. The role also involves setting up and troubleshooting mobile devices and remote access technologies, as well as installing, configuring, and servicing distributed computing hardware and communication devices. Additionally, the specialist will manage technology assets, maintain inventory records, sanitize equipment, and manage user access. Creating and maintaining technical documentation and providing user guidance and training are also crucial aspects of this role.

  • Performs initial setup, activation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mobile devices and mobile operating platforms.

  • Installs, configures, services, and troubleshoots distributed computing hardware, including workstations, peripherals, printers, scanners, and related devices.
  • Supports the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of communication devices and related systems, including VoIP, analog devices, and mobile platforms.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and coordinates repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Tracks and updates technology asset information, including assignment, location, condition, and lifecycle status.
  • Performs asset check‑in/out, maintains inventory records, and participates in inventory audits.
  • Sanitizes equipment and prepares assets for transfer, surplus, or disposal in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Creates, modifies, or terminates user access to information resources under appropriate authorization.
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation, support procedures, configuration records, and operational logs.
