About The Position

ABM is seeking a reliable and experienced Dispatcher to schedule and dispatch temporary janitorial team members to various locations. This role coordinates personnel movements, oversees communications within assigned areas, maintains dispatch records, and supports supervisors and team members with temporary coverage needs. The position may suit someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. ABM encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
No high school diploma, GED, or college degree is required.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
One year of prior multi-line reception or dispatching experience.
Prior experience scheduling and dispatching 50 or more employees.
Military experience; listed Military Occupational Specialty Codes include 88N, 92A, LS, YN, 0411, 3531, 2T1X1, and 2T2X1.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
Schedule and dispatch team members, crews, and teams to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using telephones and email.
Ensure the timely and efficient movement of team members according to work orders and resource schedules.
Oversee communications within specifically assigned areas.
Record and maintain dispatch information, including temporary employee time and schedules.
Confer with ABM supervisors and team members to address questions, problems, and requests for temporary coverage.
Compile statistics and reports on work progress.
Perform other duties as assigned.
