As Dispatcher, you will work with the dispatching systems to maximize production, delivery efficiency, and service. Communicate professionally and clearly with drivers, production supervisors, and clients to maximize service, production, and delivery efficiency. Receive, record, and dispatch orders to approved customers.
Requirements
- 2 - 4 years of experience in a fast-paced multi-task environment.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Experience in shipping and truck loading
- Strong data entry and computer skills.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
Responsibilities
- Arranges schedules and dispatches workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations for normal installation, service, or emergency repairs or for conveyance of materials, freight, or passengers.
- Receives telephone and written work orders, and relays work orders, requests, messages, and information to appropriate personnel or departments.
- Transmits assignments using radio or telephone.
- Arranges for necessary repairs required to restore service and schedules.
- Talks with customers or management to address problems or questions regarding requests for service or equipment.
- Compiles statistics and daily reports on work progress.
