They are currently seeking an experienced Dispatcher for their Dawson Creek, BC operations to manage daily operations, maintain communication with customers and drivers, and contribute to improving efficiencies within the dispatch team.

Requirements

Minimum five (5) years dispatching experience in the LTL-T/L-general freight industry.
Knowledgeable about the Hours of Service regulations.
Strong interpersonal skills and leadership.
Knowledge of BC / AB geography.
Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English.
Computer and presentation skills.
Highly organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Some Class 1 driving experience is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

Maintain communication with customers and drivers to organize and track daily operations.
Schedule and dispatch crews and equipment for freight delivery or other services.
Respond to customer inquiries courteously and efficiently.
Work in conjunction with the local and other branch dispatch teams to improve efficiencies.
Develop a culture of safety, professionalism, and service excellence.
Plan and manage employee work schedules to meet service commitment requirements.
Coordinate equipment to meet daily operational requirements and address deficiencies with the fleet maintenance supervisor.
Be aware of all employee activities in the region.
Develop a thorough understanding of the enterprise system, satellite tracking, and other applicable applications.
Maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and Provincial transportation requirements.
