The primary function of the Warehouse Lead is to oversee distribution processes, assist customers and suppliers, manage and supervise employees, and ensure that safety regulations are met. This role involves managing the receiving, stocking, and quality control of merchandise, coordinating equipment maintenance, monitoring performance for operational excellence, and maintaining health and safety compliance. The position is responsible for organizing and managing physical inventory and storage areas, determining staffing levels, assigning workloads, and training warehouse staff. Key responsibilities include maintaining inventory controls, assisting customers with will call orders, training new stockers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials, and communicating with customers to maximize service levels. Additionally, the role ensures all equipment is clean, operable, safe, and DOT compliant.
