If so, see what Geneva Rock has to offer: Under the direction of the Concrete Scheduling Manager, the concrete dispatcher is responsible to answer phone calls and gather information as well as learn the responsibilities of order-taking and dispatching.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Sedentary work & light physical work: exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally.
  • Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other types of equipment.
  • Speaking/Listening: Needs to be able to communicate effectively with customers, supervision, drivers, and follow instructions, and understand safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
  • Maintain open communication with customers.
  • Receive phone orders, gather pertinent information, and enter it into dispatch program.
  • Continually monitor demand, dispatch delivery trucks, and verify each load.
  • Assist customers in problem resolution.
  • Review, understand, and adhere to all union contracts.
  • Maintain insurable driving record.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment at all times.
