About The Position

Don’s Appliances is seeking a Dispatch Specialist to answer customer questions and concerns about the shipping and delivery of their products and will have extensive knowledge of the products that Don’s Appliances sells to answer questions accurately. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at multitasking, and delivers exceptional customer service under pressure.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years in dispatching, schedule coordination, or a fast-paced customer service environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office, dispatch software, CRM systems, and mapping/GPS tools.
  • Strong geographical familiarity with Pittsburgh, PA and tri state area.
  • Proven ability to manage phone calls, radio traffic, and data entry simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and dispatch drivers, work crews, vehicles, or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs.
  • Relays information such as work orders or other messages to and from crews, supervisors or other personnel.
  • Utilized telephones or text messages to contact employees or emergency personnel.
  • Speaking with supervisors or customers to resolve problems, requests for services or equipment.
  • Prepares daily work such as schedules.
  • Prepares work orders for crew or receiving work orders from work crews.
  • Maintains communications within company assigned territories.
  • Maintains and organizes work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
