About The Position

The primary responsibility of this role is to answer inbound calls to Lazer Tow main lines. This position involves directing callers to impound & equipment when needed, collecting necessary information to set up customer tow requests, and utilizing map resources to determine correct pickup and tow destinations. The call taker will also gather information for the driver based on call circumstances, communicate effectively with customers and the dispatcher on duty to determine availability and ETA, and accurately create calls in Towbook software. This includes entering appropriate call details, charges, and addresses, and communicating all pertinent information in call notes.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Ability to speak and read English fluently is required.
• Prior experience in an office environment is preferred.
• Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor while effectively gathering information necessary to provide needed assistance.
• Ability to communicate in a clear, understandable manner via phone and in-person.

• Ability to utilize map and GPS technology.
• Basic automotive understanding
• Knowledge of towing basics and the services we offer.
• The ability to speak and/or read additional language(s) is helpful.
