About The Position

The Dishwasher helps maintain a clean, bright restaurant by ensuring items and work areas are cleaned and sanitized to company standards. The role supports kitchen operations through dishwashing, cleaning, assigned preparation work, opening and closing duties, and maintaining the dish machine.

Requirements

• Able to stand and walk for 100% of the shift.
• Able to reach, bend, and stoop.
• Able to immerse hands frequently in water diluted with chemical solutions.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds several times per shift and lift heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, and freezers.
• Able to work in a damp, high-temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors.
• Able to work safely with hot plates, pots, and pans.
• Able to work safely with sharp knives and utensils.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Wash and provide clean, sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils in accordance with Flanigan’s sanitation policies.
• Clean and sanitize throughout the shift.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including sweeping and mopping floors and removing debris.
• Perform assigned preparation work, opening and closing duties, and beautification duties.
• Prepare and maintain the dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing.
• Support fellow employees as needed.
• Complete and pass the food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s requirements and Florida statutes.
