About The Position

The Dishwasher, also described as a Steward, cleans, transports, and stores china, glassware, silver, silverware, pots, and pans used in food and beverage operations. The role supports the organization’s goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values. The position is onsite at The Eddy Taproom & Hotel. A $1,000 signing bonus is offered to applicants hired in a full-time capacity who consistently work full-time hours and remain in good standing: $500 after 90 days and $500 after 180 days. Pay is $19–$20, depending on experience. The posting closes on 11/31/2026 or when the position has been filled.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to stand and maintain well-paced mobility for up to six hours at a time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and on a continuing basis.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, including freezers at -10°F and kitchens at +110°F.
• Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to perform tasks involving grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity.
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks and occasionally walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat, and stretch.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous stewarding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all dish machines.
• Assist with delivering hot and cold food for banquet functions.
• Set up banquet breakdown stations.
• Clean, sanitize, and properly store china, glassware, silver, silverware, pots, and pans; prioritize cleanliness, sanitation, and recycling.
• Ensure restaurant and banquet kitchens are consistently stocked with appropriate amounts of equipment.
• Sanitize and clean kitchen floors, recycling bins, and oil bins; maintain the cleanliness of the recycling/trash room.
• Assist with removing used linen and restocking linen.
